# About Unison Legal

Unison Legal is a free, full-text search over Indian case law and legislation, run by **Sandeep Tewari** from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. It is not a company and not an official source of law.

It exists because the primary material is public and the tools for reading it are not. The Supreme Court Reports and the Indian Law Reports are published free by the courts themselves, as volume PDFs running to hundreds of pages each; finding the judgment you want inside them, and then finding the cases that followed it, is work nobody should have to repeat.

## What this is not

- **Not an official reporter.** Verify any citation against the official source before relying on it. Every page here links to the original printed page it came from.
- **Not a substitute for advice.** Nothing here is legal advice.

## Getting in touch

Accounts are by invitation. Somebody who has found this site and knows nobody on it can ask for access from the link in the footer, which reaches the same person who runs it.
